(by Armando Petretta) Between physical violence and threats, she had subjected the elderly man she was supposed to take care of, telling him that he was Putin's right-hand man.

A two-year nightmare experienced by an 81-year-old from Portici (Naples), 100% disabled and confined to a wheelchair, with his caregiver, a 48-year-old Russian.

A nightmare that ended last night at dinner time when the police intervened, alerted by the daughter of the man who had received the request for help via telephone.

In fact, after yet another violent episode, the man managed to contact her daughter asking for help.

When the police arrive on site they hear a woman screaming in a foreign language, probably in Russian.

In the apartment - the door is ajar - the soldiers find the woman who has a broom in her hands and is picking up some ceramic shards.

Broken dishes and screams greet the soldiers who have to reconstruct the story.

In a small room on the right of the corridor there is the man in bed who smiles with relief when he sees the soldiers.

The woman, clearly drunk, even in the presence of the police, screams and reproaches the elderly man that if he is alive he owes it to her.

Before being removed she throws a 20 euro note at the offended party as a sign of contempt.

The old man tells the police what had just happened.

She wanted money, as often happened, but he refused, triggering the carer's anger.

The 48-year-old then allegedly threw plates in her victim's face, injuring her wrist.

The carabinieri focus on a terrifying scenario.

It wasn't the first time the victim had had to suffer that woman's wrath.

Since mid-2022 the 48-year-old had been taking care of him and she had always been violent due to alcohol.

However, she soon moved on from vexatious and violent attitudes to the facts and she often attacked the elderly man who, out of fear of her, did not report it.

She allegedly stole money several times by taking the man's ATM card and the pin that the victim had written on a ticket.

Many episodes were told to the police.

This also included the time when she urinated in front of the door of the man's room which he refused to open after she had slapped and shoved him.

She was afraid of reporting so as not to disturb and not be believed but also afraid of the threat that the woman had uttered to her.

The caregiver, in fact, had intimidated the man by telling him that she was Putin's right-hand man.

A lie that had penetrated an elderly person in serious difficulty.

The 118 staff provided first aid to the man.

While the woman, shortly after midnight, was transferred to prison but not before being searched.

In her bag is a bottle of vodka.

She will have to answer for domestic abuse.
