It will be a joint initiative which will involve the Attorney General of Perugia Sergio Sottani and that of the Republic, Raffaele Cantone, former president of the National Anti-Corruption Authority, for the visit of a delegation of magistrates from Mozambique.

A common commitment that comes after Sottani's announcement that he had activated surveillance powers on what emerged from the investigation into a chancellor accused of unauthorized access, in particular the conversations with some magistrates, which had led to the hypothesis of tension between the two offices.

Contrasts that in reality did not exist, as ANSA learned from various judicial circles in Perugia.

In a statement signed by Sottani and Cantone it is explained that the joint initiative will see a delegation of magistrates from Mozambique visiting the judicial offices of Perugia on 19 March.

The event follows the meetings of recent months which saw guests from the Perugia general prosecutor's office, judges from Brazil, Mexico and Albania.

The delegation will be received at the palace of the Captain of the People, in the presence also of the acting president of the Court of Appeal of Perugia, Claudia Matteini.

"The meeting - it is further explained in the note - will serve to open a debate on the issues of justice and to discuss the most current experiences and techniques for combating corruption. The representation from Mozambique will be made up of five magistrates, accompanied by a professor from the University of The University of Milan, as well as by professors from the University of Perugia. The initiative is in fact part of the consolidated collaborative relationship established for some time between the judicial offices of Perugia and the University, also formalized through specific agreements which provide for regular joint activities, projects shared and collaborations, as well as exchanges between institutional representatives and with the involvement of teachers and students enrolled in the universities involved".
