Among the latest leisure trends, here are seven new buzzwords related to leisure and travel.
Lisness, the antithesis of bleisure
In contrast to the now established concept of bleisure, lisness involves planning a longer leisure trip and creating time within it to work.
Both terms refer to the practice of reconciling work and pleasure, however the relationship seems to have shifted.
If with bleisure the approach is to add a few days of extra rest at the end of the business trip, lisness involves an inversion and rather emphasizes the search for more conscious and mindfulness-oriented travel experiences.

Set -jetting, the "White Lotus effect" that you don't expect.
The phenomenon of set-jetting, that is, taking inspiration from successful films and TV series to choose your holiday destination, was born many years ago with the Lord of the Rings trilogy , when New Zealand rediscovered new flows of tourists, curious to see in person the settings of the legendary saga. In Italy years ago there was a boom in visits to the places of Inspector Montalbano, the beautiful baroque cities of Scicli, Ragusa, Modica and Ispica where you can find Vigata or the sea of Punta Secca and Donnalucata where you can recognize Marinella. In recent times, thanks to the popularity of new television series, the phenomenon is affecting more and more destinations.

Following the success of The White Lotus, Cefalù saw a +28% increase in travelers from outside the European Union, of which 59% from the United States, fascinated by the Sicilian atmosphere and curious to visit Palermo and Taormina, where some scenes from the second season of the award-winning television series.
Spafari, in the savannah like celebrities
This fusion between "spa" and "safari" represents a new and growing demand for travel in Africa, but capable of best combining the component of adventure with that of relaxation.
Already approved by several celebrities, from Rihanna to Chiara Ferragni, this new type of holiday will certainly be a trend to keep an eye on in the coming years.
Gramping, generations on the move
Neologism that derives from the union of the words "grandparents" (grandparents) and "camping" (camping) is a travel trend aimed at sharing significant travel experiences between different generations and, in particular, involves trips dedicated to grandparents and grandchildren, without the presence of parents.
This new habit, consolidated especially after the pandemic, is aimed at sharing outdoor experiences by relying mainly on accommodation facilities equipped with every comfort to make even the grandparents' holiday as pleasant as possible.
“Intergenerational vacations are an effective way to strengthen family bonds,” says Ansari.
“We are noticing a new trend in so-called 3G (3 generation) travel, especially towards mountain destinations during the summer season.
Every year, the number of Italians who choose the mountains as a destination increases significantly, experimenting with activities specifically designed to allow families to spend time together, have fun, play, explore and share happy moments."
Painmoon
The name is already quite evocative: a painmoon serves to overcome those periods of difficulty, anger, stress and negativity in which everything seems to be going wrong.
If the trip is characterized by particular attention to the world of wellness treatments, sport and outdoor activities, the search for lost serenity becomes even more pleasant.
Examples include yoga schools whose lessons are individually adapted for each destination, taking into account the specific characteristics of the facility and the competence of the participants.
Minimoon, a romantic escape before the big honeymoon
Thanks to the increase in costs in organizing the wedding and the stress linked to the ceremony, in recent years the new concept of mini-moon has been gaining ground: a quick trip, often lasting little more than a weekend, which couples spend in the days or weeks following the big day, before planning, more calmly and with larger budgets, the actual honeymoon.
The timing of honeymoons has changed.
For today's couples, it's not easy to align holiday schedules with work, save some extra money for an important trip or even just wait for the right season to go to your dream destination.
The concept of a honeymoon necessarily having to be taken immediately after the ceremony is now outdated.
Hence the trend of short periods, a weekend or three-four days, to indulge in a bit of post-ceremony decompression, while waiting to take a longer break for the big honeymoon.
