The disappearance of Emanuela Orlandi, Pope Francis, is also touched upon in the book "Life. My story within history", the autobiography written by Mediaset campaigner Fabio Marchese Ragona, to be released on 19 March by Harper Collins in Italy and in 20 other countries around the world.

"In the Vatican we still suffer greatly from the disappearance, which occurred more than forty years ago, of one of our citizens, Emanuela Orlandi, who was fifteen years old at the time. I continue to pray for her and her family, in particular her mother

. it is an open investigation in the Vatican, so that light can be shed on this story and the truth emerges. Speaking of Emanuela, however, I want all those families who mourn the passing of a loved one to feel my closeness. I am close to them", he states the Pontiff in a passage from the book that ANSA is able to anticipate.

In other passages Francis labels the rumors about his possible reform of the Conclave as "fantasies".

"Regarding the Conclave, some American media have circulated the news that I have in mind to change the rules, admitting religious and lay people to vote for the election of the new Pope: these are all fantasies, inventions put around evidently to create discontent in the Church and disorientation among the faithful ", explains.

The Pope also points the finger at acts of anti-Semitism in Europe, calling them "a shame".

"Think, for example, of the acts of violence by some fanatics, of the desecrated Jewish tombs or of the houses marked with the Star of David in several European countries after the outbreak of the new conflict in the Middle East in October 2023. It is a shame, above all because often those involved are young people! As if they didn't understand what the Shoah was!", denounces Bergoglio.
