A cargo ship was hit by a missile off the coast of Yemen in the early hours of the morning, where Iran-backed Houthi militants are stepping up attacks on commercial shipping, Britain's Maritime Safety Agency (UKMTO) said. .
"The vessel sustained some damage. The crew was not injured and the vessel continued its journey," the British Navy's United Kingdom Marine Trade Operations and security firm Ambrey said.
The ship was attacked west of the Hodeida port, controlled by the Houthis.
