Did Sandra, yes or no, kill her husband?
The French feature film “Anatomy of a Fall”, big winner of the César ceremony and crowned with the Oscar for best screenplay, continues to intrigue.
Guest of France Inter this Saturday, its director, Justine Triet, said she was ready to reveal the responsibilities of each person in this plot, but to do so it will be necessary to be patient: “I will give [the answer] in ten years”, a- she promised, a playful point.
Is the character of Sandra, in “Anatomy of a Fall”, guilty?
“I know it, I will say it in ten years,” says director Justine Triet.
“It surprised me a lot that in France everyone believed her to be innocent and in the United States, guilty.”

Guilty for the Americans
In the meantime, Justine Triet told Radio France that she was surprised at the differences in interpretation of the scenario depending on the viewer's country of origin: "It surprised me that in France everyone believed her to be innocent, and in the United States, everyone believes she is guilty.
In Spain, I was told that this woman was “very hateful”.
It says something about the culture of each country,” she observes.

Some spectators were even able to “feel shocked” in front of the character of Sandra, “very feminist and uninhibited in the way she does not ask for what she wants, but imposes it”, reports the artist.
“It resonated in a very intimate place of people, and we cannot predict that,” concluded the director.
