Italian Alberto Bettiol fifth, Mads Pedersen fourth and Mathieu Van der Poel 10th. The 288 kilometer race was held in Milan, Italy, on Sunday, May 14. It is the 115th edition of the Spring classic. The race was won by Philipsen in 6h14'44'', at a record average of 46.100 kilometers per hour.


The Belgian precedes Matthews and Pogacar in the sprint, Bettiol fifth (ANSA)


Belgian Jasper Philipsen won Milan-Sanremo.

In second place was Australian Michael Matthews and third was Slovenian Tadej Pogacar.

Fifth was the Italian Alberto Bettiol.

The Alpecin-Deceuninck rider won for the first time in the Spring classic, now in its 115th edition.

The Belgian finished the 288 kilometer race in 6h14'44'', at a record average of 46.100 kilometers per hour.

Mads Pedersen took fourth place, ahead of Bettiol.

World champion Mathieu Van der Poel, winner in 2023, finished in tenth place after working to facilitate the winning sprint of teammate Philipsen.
