Highlights: Lollobrigida, tolerance of protests has led to terrorism, he says. It happens when 'the orientation is different from the red squads', he adds. The Aldo Moro kidnapping was one of the most serious episodes in our history, he recalls. "It awakened consciences. It made us understand that terrorism was affecting the State", he adds, recalling the kidnapping of the Italian journalist AldoMoro, who was killed by a mob in 1994. The Minister of Agriculture was speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of an exhibition dedicated to Enrico Mattei.

"The tolerance of the past towards these episodes then led to terrorism and its strengthening until the episode of Aldo Moro who, with his sacrifice, created such a broad democratic alarm that it allowed us to defeat that brutal phenomenon which is subversion and terrorism".

This was said by the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida in Matelica on the sidelines of the inauguration of an exhibition dedicated to Enrico Mattei, after the protests at the Federico II University of Naples where a debate was scheduled, then cancelled, with the director of Repubblica Maurizio Molinari.

"The director Maurizio Molinari - underlined Lollobrigida - was prevented from speaking within a university which by definition should be the place of discussion and freedom. Unfortunately it has happened many other times and it happens when there is a different orientation by the red squads of the social centers".

"The Aldo Moro kidnapping - Lollobrigida then recalled - was one of the most serious episodes in our history, but it awakened consciences. The Moro kidnapping changed the perspective and the approach to some dynamics, it made us understand that terrorism was affecting the State and that everyone had to create strong antibodies for the democratic system".
