A tailor-made record for gourmets.
Nearly 2,300 participants at the Parc des Expositions in Saint-Étienne (Loire) come together this Sunday to taste a giant raclette.
The matter is very serious, since a bailiff will be present for possible approval in the “Guinness World Records”.

Twenty-five euros per person
The event, which takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., required participation of 25 euros per adult and 10 euros per child.
Nothing to discourage cheese lovers, however: the 2,300 places were sold in five days and the 300 tickets added subsequently, in almost a minute, reports Le Figaro.
Part of the profits collected will be donated to the DNA association, which attempts to facilitate the integration of people with disabilities.
This record attempt is the initiative of comedian Jason Chicandier, and chefs like César Troisgros and Xavier Pincemin are expected to attend the event, according to Cnews.
To feed everyone, 600 kg of cheese and 330 kg of cold meats should be served.
The previous record for the largest raclette brought together 1,067 people and was organized by students from Chambéry, on the campus of the University of Savoie at Technolac in 2022, details news Saint-Étienne.
