Discussions continue within the center-left over the choice of presidential candidate for the Regionals in Basilicata.
The profile of Piero Marrese, president of the province of Matera, remains in pole position in the negotiations which have been going on since yesterday evening and, from what can be seen, are taking place above all at a territorial level but also at a leader level.
His name came out late in the morning from the table that defined the size of the coalition, with Pd, M5s, AVS and socialists.
These are therefore hours of intense negotiations between Potenza and Rome.
In the broad camp there are those who are pushing to also include Action, but for the Movement this perimeter does not include Carlo Calenda's party.
The former minister, who in the morning complained that he had not been able to speak on the phone since yesterday with the secretary of the PdElly Schlein, in the meantime has given the decision to the regional directorate of Action, reiterating his appreciation for the centre-right candidate Vito Bardi but also the the importance of "experiencing every attempt to bring together national oppositions".
