"First of all, he is a person who I respect very much, who I have known over many years during his commitment in the Region, a person who certainly has a great knowledge of the regional administrative machinery. I believe this is positive, because it is the best prerequisite for a campaign electoral as I believe it should be, that is, done with respect for people and adversaries and above all for the problems".
This was stated by the president of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio, speaking about the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party for the regional elections, Gianna Pentenero, on the sidelines of the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the territorial training center in Santena (Turin).
"We must discuss the problems of Piedmont and how to resolve them - added Cirio - so having an opponent ready to discuss the problems I believe is the best prerequisite for an electoral campaign that can really be useful to Piedmont".
