She was blonde, with hazel eyes.
Full of life, horse riding fan and animal enthusiast.
But on November 5, 2021, at the age of 26, Marine put an end to her existence poisoned by chronic intractable migraines.
It is estimated that, like her, 15% of people suffering from this severe pathology have already thought about committing suicide, according to a study conducted by the Voix des migraineurs association.
Because of the pain and the therapeutic impasse, sometimes linked – and this is the case here – to the prohibitive cost of certain treatments, a real obstacle to care.
For Marine, it all started at the age of 8, with the first headaches linked to noisy events or temperature changes.
The problem becomes major at puberty, the start of a long period of medical and school wandering, with absences of up to four months out of the year.
“When she had seizures, she had to lie down in her room.
We found her prostrate in the dark,” says her mother.
