Gualeguaychú was placed on alert due to the increase in the flow of the tributary of the Uruguay River.
Early in the morning, the watercourse was located one meter above the evacuation level: 3.8 meters.
Faced with this situation, the Municipality launched an evacuation operation, in which about 50 people were transferred to safe places.
In addition, about 120 families evacuated by their own means, the Municipality indicated.
After a slight drop, in the afternoon the Gualeguachú River was still above the alert and evacuation level: the last record placed it at a height of
4.64 meters.

The city woke up flooded after the river reached 4.81 meters high.
The flood had already been evident since Tuesday, although the rise reached worrying levels on Thursday, when it jumped to 1.9 meters.
On Friday, meanwhile, it continued to rise: 2.56 meters.
Neighbors shared postcards of the flooded blocks on social media.
Until Friday night, the blocks along the waterfront were affected.
But hours later, when the sun rose, the affected area covered more blocks.
Network users showed the fierce attack of the water against the structure of the waterfront and elements of spas dragged by the current, in addition to the flooded streets.
And they even showed how the
fish swam in the ditch of arteries furthest
from the critical zone.

Gualeguaychú, on alert due to the forecast and a "very complex" situation
This Saturday afternoon, meanwhile, the Crisis Committee met in the Deliberative Council.
"We are facing a
very complex
situation due to the flooding and overflowing of the river. I want to thank the intermediate institutions, security forces, clubs, NGOs, companies and neighbors who are wearing the city shirt," said the local mayor, Mauricio Davico.
And he added: "I know you have your shirt on but now I want to ask you for a little more commitment than you already have. The only thing our neighbors ask of us is that we help them get through this bad time and assist them with their needs."
In addition to the
120 self-evacuated families
, who left their belongings in warehouses in the port before looking for a safe place, some
71 people have already been transported by the authorities
to the Armored Cavalry Exploration Squadron No. 2.
The Crisis Committee includes municipal officials, authorities from the Centenario Hospital, representatives of the Security Forces, members of the National University of Entre Ríos and representatives of the Association for the Preservation and Sustainable Development of the Gualeguaychú River Basin.

Showers could return in the afternoon, while at night the sky will be mostly cloudy.
However, the threat of water will remain latent.
On Monday, isolated storms are expected at dawn and in the morning.
In the afternoon there will be isolated rains.
Tuesday, meanwhile, will dawn mostly cloudy and in the second half of the day there will be showers.
Storms will return on Wednesday.
And only on Thursday will the sky clear, according to the forecast of the National Meteorological Service.
The Litoral and other sectors of northern Argentina were immersed in a heat wave, in which some towns in Santa Fe registered more than 50 degrees of thermal.
This situation was followed by hours of intense rain, with short-term warnings for storms.
In this context, large areas of the Uruguay River and its tributaries - such as the Gualegaychú - showed significant flooding.
