The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella placed a laurel wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Altare della Patria, on the occasion of the National Unity Day.
After having reviewed the units of the armed forces deployed, and having listened to the national anthem alongside the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the president of the Chamber Lorenzo Fontana, the prime minister Giorgia Meloni and the president of the constitutional court Augusto Barbera, Mattarella stopped in contemplation at the The Unknown Soldier.
At the end of the ceremony Mattarella greeted the high officials of the State.
