All together, and there's even Dostoevsky.

All inside.

An "inside" which is that of the walls of the Milanese prison of Bollate where Rai Radio 2 and Caterpillar, with Massimo Cirri and Sara Zambotti entering for a special episode live on Tuesday 19 March at 6.00 pm and in visual radio on channel 202, also in view of the Day of Remembrance and Commitment in memory of the innocent victims of the mafia on March 21st.

    An episode that takes inspiration from the rereading of Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov, through the reflections of prisoners, students, families of victims of organized crime and penitentiary workers on the themes of punishment, guilt, change, debt and credit, "right" to resentment and "reparation".

"The radio - explains Sara Zambotti - unites what seems very distant: in fact, the conflicts of the Karamazov family are the conflicts of many of our families, inside and outside prisons, and we will listen to them on Caterpillar in an episode in which also the playlist music will be curated by our guests".

A dialogue with many voices - between the studies of Corso Sempione and the Bollate prison - in which the stories of inmates and former inmates meet and often intertwine with those of those who have shared a path of "reparation" with them, such as Marisa Fiorani, mother of Marcella, killed by the Sacra Corona Unita in 1990;

Paolo Setti Carraro, brother of Emanuela, wife of General Dalla Chiesa;

Francesco Cajani, public prosecutor in Milan;

Giorgio Leggieri, director of Bollate;

Angelo Aparo, psychotherapist and founder of the Transgression Group, active in all Milanese prisons;

as well as the university students who participated in the discussion on the conflicts of the Karamazov family, organized by the Transgression Group and the scientific committee of the Lo strappo project.

A chat about crime.

"Many things happen in Italian prisons - says Massimo Cirri - and we know about the difficult ones such as overcrowding and suicides. We, however, try to talk about the positive ones.

    Paths with many actors to change the time of detention and its outcomes, to which he reminds us also our Constitution for a punishment that tends towards re-education and reduces recidivism".

"Rai Radio 2 - concludes director Simona Sala - becomes an instrument to give a voice to those who too often don't have one.

    It is the attempt to best interpret the role of the public service to connect the victims, those who try to overcome their own mistakes and all those who work every day, away from the spotlight, to make this happen.

    Caterpillar confirms itself as a space of choice where many realities find their voice".
