"It's one of the most difficult experiences of my life."
On the day of International Stiff Person Syndrome Day, Celine Dion decides to talk about her personal battle with a post on social media.
The singer has been suffering from the rare neurological disease since 2022 which causes spasms throughout her body, preventing her from walking and using her vocal cords as she would like.
Despite her difficulties, Celine remains positive: "I am determined to return to the stage and live as normal a life as possible."
The post is accompanied by a photo in which she shows herself with her three children, René-Charles and the twins Nelson and Eddy, whom she had with her late husband, René Angélil.
After the announcement of the illness, the artist was forced to cancel live performances and the rest of her tour stops.
