50,000 species of spiders are now known worldwide.
Five of them are the most dangerous to humans because of their venomous bite.
With the discovery of
Guriurius minuano
in April, 50,000 different species of spiders are now known worldwide.
But researchers estimate that the number of undiscovered species is just as high.
echo24.de
has taken this diversity anniversary as an opportunity to present five very special types of useful eight-legged friends.
However, there is a big catch for all arachnophobics - because these are the five most dangerous poisonous spiders in the world.
In fifth place is the red-headed mouse spider, a beautifully colored specimen.
However, the Missulena occatoria,
which only occurs in Australia, is
by no means something to be trifled with.
Although the highly poisonous females rarely leave their cave, the aggressive males go on the move during the mating season.
And anyone who disturbs the diurnal animals will be bitten immediately after making a threatening gesture.
According to Australian researchers, the bite can be fatal, especially for children, if antivenom is not administered.

The five most dangerous spiders in the world: deadly bite danger for humans
The most dangerous representative of the real widows takes
fourth place in the
echo24.de ranking.
Although the Southern Black Joke is nocturnal and not at all aggressive, bite accidents occur again and again in the southeast of the USA.
Most of them happen in, of all places, quiet places.
In addition, the poisonous bite of
Latrodectus mactans
often goes unnoticed.
Until the first symptoms appear after about half an hour.
Anyone who does not go to hospital and receive an antidote there risks dying from respiratory paralysis or a heart attack.
There is currently no antidote for a bite from the Chilean angle spider, which decomposes human tissue.
For this reason, the worst representative of its genus has made it to third place among the most dangerous species - especially since four percent of the people bitten by it die from it.
And it could be that the spider will also be found in Germany at some point.
Because it has high invasive capabilities that have allowed it to spread from its native Chile to all of South America and parts of North and Central America.
After all, Loxosceles laeta
is not considered
aggressive at all.
Deadliest spider in the world: Danger of bites for people in Germany too
Things are completely different with the most poisonous spider in the world.
When the male Sydney funnel-web spiders go looking for a mate, they are described as “relatively aggressive” – and can even bite through shoe surfaces thanks to their powerful jaw claws.
13 people lost their lives in their homeland, the Australian metropolis of Sydney, after being bitten.
There have been no reported deaths since an antivenom was developed in 1981.
However, 40 people continue to be bitten by
Atrax robustus
every year .
But that’s “only” enough for second place for the most poisonous spider in the world.

The reason for this is the Brazilian wandering spider.
Its highly aggressive behavior puts all other species in the shade.
Jumping up to 1.50 meters,
Phoneutria nigriventer
can bite people and pump its venom into its victim, which is 20 times more deadly than that of a black widow.
The consequences: shortness of breath, shock, death.
Even though there is an anti-venom, ten people still die from their bites every year.
And because the deadliest species in the world occasionally appears in very specific places in Germany, it is one of the eight spiders that are best avoided in Baden-Württemberg.
