The plot of this new series created by Éric Benzekri, known as the screenwriter of Baron Noir and Maison Close, begins on the evening of an awards ceremony in the world of football.
Fodé Thiam (Alassane Diong), one of Racing's rising stars, violently headbutts his trainer by calling him a "dirty toubab", in other words "dirty white man" in Wolof.
The scandal breaks out immediately: to try to calm the affair, the president of Racing, François Marens (Benjamin Biolay) decides to offer himself the services of Sam Berge (Nina Meurisse), an expert in crisis communications.
But the latter quickly finds herself opposed to Marie Kinsky (Ana Girardot), a comedian adept at controversy, who is responsible for raising “the fever” all over France…
Served by a four-star cast, but above all by the creators of Baron Noir, La Fièvre explores the mechanics in which a sporting affair transforms into a burning social issue.
The plot is divided into six episodes, to be followed at the rate of two episodes per week on CANAL+ from March 18.
