The accident took place around 9 p.m., on Carril Montecaseros and Gil Bustos Street.
There, on the shoulder, but at the door of their house,
José Roberto Morales, 67 years old, and Raúl Escudero (60)
said goodbye to relatives who were returning to San Luis after a visit.
But, in the middle of the farewell, a Dodge 1500 that was traveling at high speed through Montecaseros

the men aged 60 and 67 were crushed by the car and died instantly

A couple who was next to them was miraculously saved.
Upon arrival, officers from the 39th Police Station confirmed that Jofre Carlos V. (50 years old), who was traveling in the light blue Dodge 1500 with two of his children, a 13-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, was completely drunk at the wheel. :
The test showed that he had 2.14 g/l of alcohol in his blood,
more than four times what was allowed.
One of the victims' relatives, Héctor, suffered a fracture in his right leg and was transferred to Perrupato Hospital by SEC personnel.
Meanwhile, the boys who were traveling with the drunk man did not suffer serious injuries.
The driver was detained.
According to the newspaper Los Andes, there are no security cameras at the scene of the accident.
In any case, Scientific Police personnel worked there to collect evidence.
