Highlights: Eurozone inflation confirmed at 2.6% in February. In the European Union it was 2.8% from 3.1% in January. The highest annual rates were recorded in Romania (7.1%), Croatia (4.8%) and Estonia ( 4.4%). Among the individual components, the highest contribution in the euro area came from services (+1.73 percentage points), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (+0.79 points) and energy (-0.36 points)


Eurostat confirms the preliminary estimate of a decline in inflation in the euro area in February to 2.6%, compared to 2.8%. In the European Union it was 2.8% from 3.1% in January. (HANDLE)

 lower rates were recorded in Latvia, Denmark (both 0.6%) and Italy (0.8%).

The highest annual rates were recorded in Romania (7.1%), Croatia (4.8%) and Estonia (4.4%).

Among the individual components, the highest contribution in the euro area came from services (+1.73 percentage points), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (+0.79 points), non-energy industrial goods (+0.42 points ) and energy.
