You can quickly and easily bake a healthy banana bread with apple, banana and chopped nuts, without any additional fat or industrial sugar.

The classic banana bread can also be enjoyed in a small format in the form of juicy banana muffins.
Ingredients for the juicy banana bread without any added sugar or fat
For banana bread from a 25 centimeter loaf pan you need:
3 very ripe bananas (about 300 g)
100 g grated apple (alternatively unsweetened applesauce)
200 g whole wheat flour (alternatively rye or spelled flour)
2 eggs (M)
50 g chopped walnuts (or hazelnuts, almonds)
1/2 packet of baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt

Baking healthy banana bread is so quick and easy
While the oven is preheating to 180 degrees top and bottom heat, peel and core the apples and grate them finely over a large mixing bowl.
Then add the peeled bananas to the grated apple and mash them with a fork.
Now add the two eggs and a pinch of salt and beat with a hand mixer until foamy.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
The dry ingredients are now added to the bowl and mixed into a smooth dough.
Finally, fold the chopped nuts into the dough and pour everything into a loaf pan lined with baking paper (or alternatively greased with a little oil or butter).
Bake on the middle shelf in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
Then carry out the swab test.
Allow the banana bread to cool and carefully remove it from the loaf pan.

The grated apple or applesauce replaces the fat in this recipe and ensures the cake is additionally juicy.
If you prefer to bake with a little fat, the apple can be easily replaced with around 60 milliliters of neutral oil or 80 grams of butter/margarine.
