Charlene of Monaco celebrated the 66th birthday of her husband Albert.
It was in front of the photographers' lenses that a rare gesture moved the public: tender embraces between the princess and her husband, demonstrating that after twenty years of relationship, and some turbulence, the couple is not stingy gestures of affection.

The highlight of the day was the cutting of a gigantic birthday cake specially made for the occasion.
Adorned in the colors of Monaco, this impressive piece was much larger than the prince himself, and decorated with birthday greetings in the Monegasque language: “Bon Aniversari Munsignù”.
The presence of Prince Albert's two youngest children, Jacques and Gabriella, aged 9 and a half, as well as their mother Princess Charlene, added a touch of complicity to this very special day.
United after the trials
Photos which suggest a newfound peace within the couple.
In recent years, rumors of divorce have been circulating in the media, since the prolonged convalescence of Charlene of Monaco in South Africa, in 2021, following a serious ENT infection.
After a mysterious absence of several months, Charlene reportedly underwent treatment in Switzerland, which sparked more questions about the state of their marriage.
“Princess Charlene's convalescence continues in a satisfactory and encouraging manner, even if her recovery should still take a few months,” Albert II explained in a press release.
During this period, sources claimed that the royal couple showed a united front in public, despite difficulties in private.
After her stay in Switzerland, Charlene of Monaco re-engaged in public and charitable activities.
A special letter
During his birthday, Prince Albert II, for his part, received a pleasant surprise from President Emmanuel Macron, who sent a warm letter to the Head of State, as reported by the

: “Monseigneur, I wanted with this letter to send you my best wishes on the occasion of your sixty-sixth birthday on March 14,” he began.
Before wishing him another birthday: “I also take this opportunity to send you my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the celebration, on April 6, of your nineteen years of reign at the head of the Principality of Monaco.”
The President continued: “Faced with the many challenges of our time, the historic friendship and values that France and the Principality of Monaco share are precious.
Also, I want to salute your contribution to the quality of relations between our two countries.”
