The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has raised the alarm over the rapid worsening of the food crisis in the Gaza Strip, where a famine situation is expected by next May in the northern governorates: this is what emerges from a new report published by the global initiative Integrated food security phase classification (IPC).
Lorende noted the FAO in a statement.
The rest of the Strip also runs the risk of future famine, in the worst case scenario, if hostilities do not cease and humanitarian assistance does not reach the most needy people.
