"The stability of the country's system is of concern, in particular those areas which have been dealing with the economic and social crisis, with depopulation and the lack of services for some time now. An institutional framework which can encourage unitary development, according to the principles of solidarity, subsidiarity and social cohesion. On this front, our attention has been constant and will remain vigilant, in the awareness that the country will not grow, if not together".
The cardinal president of the CEI Matteo Zuppi said this when opening the work of the Permanent Council.
