Cat Tilly and dog Winston are animal soulmates until death.
To say goodbye to her beloved animals, the owner shares a touching series of pictures on TikTok.
Animal lover Louisa Crook has a special mission: she helps strays in need in the Middle East.
In the past few years she has taken in around 60 animals.
Including dog Winston, who came to her five years ago.
Tilly the cat followed two years later.
A close friendship develops between the four-legged friends that lasts until their death.
On TikTok, the owner tells her story and remembers her animals in a touching series of pictures.
Winston moves in: 'We thought we might have six months with him'
When Louisa Crook first meets Winston, she doesn't believe he will live long.
The eight-year-old stray dog is severely affected by life on the street and his health is catastrophic.
A painful skin infection bothered him.
In addition, his body and one of his front legs were injured by the impact of a car.
“Honestly, we thought we would have maybe six months with him.
When he survived for a year, then another year, then another year, we were overjoyed," the woman tells

With a lot of love and patience, Louisa Crook won the dog's trust.
“It took a lot of time and effort to give him a feeling of security and happiness,” said the animal rescuer.
"Although my other dogs helped him, Winston never completely lost his 'street dog spirit'." New arrival Tilly, who also came to Louisa from the street seriously injured, finally managed to win the heart of the "grumpy old man". soften.
“I'm sure he was tormented by cats in the industrial area where he lived, so he probably prejudged little Tilly.
But she was so gentle and calm with him.”
A close friendship developed between the dog and cat.
“Last year they cuddled all day, every day,” says the owner.
“Tilly was a very affectionate cat with all of my dogs, but Winston seemed to love her the most.”

However, the health of the two animals has deteriorated drastically in recent weeks.
“Tilly went downhill pretty quickly.
Something was wrong with her liver and there wasn't much that could be done.
“Winston had already lived with heart problems,” reports the owner.
Together with her veterinarian, Louisa Crook made a decision: it was time to put her beloved four-legged friends to sleep.
“It's hard when you have to make that decision.
But you don’t wait until the animal suffers torment.”

On their last journey together, Tilly and Winston supported each other.
“They walked together peacefully, snuggled up together, like they always did.
“It was quiet, gentle and somehow beautiful,” says owner Louisa Crook, remembering the sad farewell to her beloved four-legged friends, which she captured in a series of pictures on TikTok.
“I am devastated that they are no longer here.
Life won't be the same, but I'm glad they had a few years left after their terrible life before rescue.
I just wish there had been more.”
