Pizzas, frozen preparations, aperitif biscuits… Behind their salty connotation, all these foods also generally hide sugar.
A new study by researchers from the National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES), published this Tuesday, confirms this: among nearly 40,000 products analyzed, more than three quarters (77 %) contain at least one “sweetening or sweet taste vector” ingredient.
This share is obviously 100% for jams, ice creams and even cereal bars, but it also reaches 84% in the cold meats category and 71% among fresh cooked dishes, for example.
