Tasting the haman ears with original fillings/NOW Roni Scharmeister

True, they don't hold long campaigns and they certainly aren't expected to carry billboards on their shoulders.

They are also not exactly the magnet that attracts tasters and the curious, and in fact it is quite exhausting to walk with them in the corridors of the Voila system!

And to hear negative answers, refusals and obscene offers again and again.

Haman ears, let's face it right now, just aren't sexy enough as a brand.

But a look from above at the graph of their improvement, a memory good enough to know how to go back and compare, and above all a strong, ever-growing feeling, in relation to the other holidays, leads to a very, very hard conclusion - their time has come, they are here.

It's probably the crispy dough that got better and better over the years, certainly the fillings that stopped belittling us, maybe the collective yearning for a little more sweetness in our recently too bitter lives.

What does it matter, actually, when these cheap Purim cookies are suddenly so good?

The real lovers: bread bakery

Alongside it, there are also salted manna ears (NIS 18.90 per 100 grams) filled with caramelized sweet potato, feta cheese and walnuts, or potatoes with fried onions - which are in fact an excellent and more elegant borax than the original. More).

And that's not all.

You will also find here a strawberry manna ear which is actually a galette with pastry cream, marzipan and baked strawberries (NIS 65), a poppy and apple tart (NIS 79) that left the poppy abstainers ashamed and a little begging, deliveries of dishes for children (manna ears, chocolate cookies Yips, a "True Love" cloth bag and gifts, NIS 95), and for adults (cocktails of course) and an additional treat in the form of a Haman Ears home baking kit, which includes a roll of crispy dough (1 kg), chocolate filling, poppy filling, a rolling pin and a crust (155 shekels) - a wonderful gift for your hosts and yourself, and an ideal expression of the little-forgotten holiday spirit
