Surprise visit today by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to Kiev, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and senior Ukrainian officials, and "reaffirmed the United States' unwavering commitment to Ukraine in its self-defense against the brutal Russian invasion".

Sullivan "underscored the multiple lines of U.S. support for Ukraine following yesterday's successful Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, and underlined the urgent need for the House" to approve additional national security funding. "to meet Ukraine's critical needs on the battlefield."
Sullivan "discussed ongoing efforts with allies and partners to hold Russia accountable for its aggression and mitigate the economic impacts of Russia's war on Ukraine and around the world, as well as progress on anti-corruption and other key reforms needed to promote 'Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine'.
