A new arrest has been made in the case of the 24-year-old who was injured with a machete in Turin on 18 March.
According to what has been leaked from investigative circles, he is Rocco Costanzia di Costigliole, brother of Pietro, the 23-year-old arrested on March 20 by the police for attempted murder.
Wounded with machete
TURIN, MARCH 21 - He was hiding in a hotel near the centre, in a room booked under another name, Pietro Costanzia di Costigliole, the 23-year-old of noble origins accused of having injured a 24-year-old with a machete last Monday in Turin.
While waiting for the validation hearing, the police continue the manhunt to trace the attacker's accomplice.
The agents of the Mobile squad of Turin, coordinated by the prosecutor Mario Bendoni, stopped Costanzia di Costigliole yesterday afternoon.
According to the investigators, he would be the misrepresented man who, armed with a machete, got off a T-Max scooter, driven by an accomplice, to violently attack the 24-year-old, who was on a scooter with a girl.
The doctors had to amputate the victim's left leg, which was compromised by his injuries, and is hospitalized in serious condition at the CTO hospital.
After the arrest, Pietro Costanzia di Costigliole denied all accusations and did not want to answer the magistrate's questions.
The investigations revealed that the two knew each other and were seeing each other.
Costanzia di Costigliole, born in Milan, arrived some time ago from Turin, after he had stayed for a long period in Spain.
The investigators are working to clarify the motive: they suspect that behind the attack there is not only revenge for a message of appreciation sent by the victim to a friend of Pietro, but of the other.
In fact, the trail leading to drugs has not been ruled out.
