It's a question that the majority of women regularly ask themselves: how to reconcile your role as head of the family and your professional life?
In this context, Lou Doillon is no exception.
At 41, she pursues her careers as a singer-songwriter and model and is responsible for the education of her two sons: Laszlo (18 months) whose father is the illustrator Stéphane Manel, and Marlow Jack Tiger ( 22 years old), born from his past relationship with guitarist John Ulysses Mitchell.

“How can you work at home when your home is the children’s home?”
In an express interview that the online video media Lou has just published, the daughter of Jane Birkin and Jacques Doillon readily defines herself as a “strong woman” and an “inspiring mother”.
On the occasion of the launch evening of the 2024 edition of Sidaction, which was held on January 25 in Paris, Lou Doillon spoke, with humor and without tongue in cheek, about her daily life as a woman and mother.
“I have two gnomes: a big one and a toddler and I want them to learn what it is to be a woman who wants to be there, who wants to love them but who seriously has a lot of other things to do. do elsewhere,” she says.
And at a time when the fact of having integrated a morning routine into her daily life seems to be an accomplishment, the singer fully accepts not having one, in particular because of the age of her youngest son.
“He’s 18 months old, he doesn’t care about my routine!
It’s his routine that counts,” she exclaims.
And to ask: “How do we manage working at home when home is also the children’s home?”
“I argue with everyone, all the time”
Like many working women, whether employees, business leaders or freelancers, it is in her kitchen that Lou Doillon generally finds refuge when she has to work from home.
“That’s bullshit on my part.
They're lurking around
(in the kitchen, Editor's note)
because they're crazy, and I'm with my guitar.
And really, they don’t give a damn,” she describes, amused.
For now, Charlotte Gainsbourg's half-sister admits to not having found the perfect organization for her home.
A situation which inevitably generates tensions.
"I have trouble.
I argue with everyone, all the time,” she admits, before launching into a “long live the crèche!”
