Former journalist, Terry Hayes, 72 years old, British who arrived in Australia as a child, wrote the scripts for some major films which marked the history of cinema: “Mad Max 2” (1981), which transformed Mel Gibson into international star, "White Calm" (1989), terrifying aquatic thriller and Nicole Kidman's first big success, "Payback" (1999), again with the "Braveheart" actor in one of his best roles, "From Hell" (2001), with Johnny Depp, to name just a few.
Surprisingly, he then turned to the novel, delivering “I am Pilgrim” in 2013, a huge bestseller around the world, now considered a standard meter for the spy and action techno-thriller, of which we has since promised us a film adaptation.
And then... nothing more, until his unexpected return via a new book, “The Year of the Grasshopper” (JC Lattès), available in bookstores for a few days.
