On the occasion of the 32nd World Water Day, Earth Day Italia organizes a digital talk live on ansa.it and on earthday.it entitled "Water for Peace".
The meeting will be moderated, live from 10.40am on Friday 22 March, by Pierluigi Sassi, president of Earth Day Italia, with the RAI journalist, Chiara Giallonardo, who will interview the Minister of the Environment, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.
Among the people who will discuss Alberto Cirio, president of the Piedmont Region;
Stefano Lo Russo, mayor of Turin;
Giacomo Portas, president of Environment Park;
Francesca Bernardini, head of Cross-Border Cooperation at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE);
Francesco Corvaro, Special Envoy for Climate Change of the Government;
Elena Eva Maria Grandi, councilor for the environment and greenery of the municipality of Milan;
Paola Aloi, steering committee for the organization of the Italian Earth Day celebrations and Moby Dick, street artist strongly committed to the defense of the animal world, who will create a live work.
The UN recalls that: " "Water can create peace or trigger conflicts.
When water is scarce or polluted, or when people have unequal or no access, tensions can rise between communities and countries.
More than 3 billion people worldwide depend on water that crosses national borders."
