'South calls North' by Cateno De Luca expands and also 'enlists' the Last Captain.
In a press conference in the Chamber, the mayor of Taormina announces the new adhesions to the 'Freedom Front' project, which "must fly high" and which is now "present in almost all Italian regions".
Among these: that of Captain Ultimo, who sits in the front row, but does not speak "because he has just undergone vocal cord surgery";
that of the mayor of Amatrice, Sergio Pirozzi, with 'Civics in movement', and those of Vito Comencini with 'Popolo veneto' and of Davide Bionaz of the Rassemblement Valdotan.
De Luca says he is satisfied because "his federalist project is being completed" and warns that soon, that is, in the next press conference already called for April 4, there could "be new surprises".
"We are waiting for someone's Easter reflections..." he explains.
Therefore, he points the finger at the "para-parliamentary attempt" to eliminate the political movement headed by him with the law on the collection of signatures "which was then withdrawn", but "not as they wanted us to believe in order to pardon us ", but rather because it was not respectful of the "constitutional principles" of representation. The fact that "7 former members of the League" have already joined his 'political project' is not a coincidence, he admits to the reporter who points it out to him, "because I - he assures - have always been fascinated by the real League, certainly not by Matteo Verdini's."
And he says he also spoke about this 'fascination' he has always felt for the League in his last meeting with Roberto Bossi.
Sitting alongside the former undersecretary Laura Castelli and the deputy Francesco Gallo who represents 'South calls North' in Parliament, he denounces the fact that "while Matteo Renzi is trying to convince a person like Totò Cuffaro to go with him on the list", he instead, he focuses on Capitano Ultimo "as a symbol of the fight against the mafia" that his political movement wants to carry forward.
Among the next events that he anticipates will be the one on May 5th: "We will start like the Thousand of the Risorgimento because our objective - he underlines - is to start from 1000 on May 5th to one million on June 8-9th".
