A life hack promises a solution with can tabs - but does it keep what it promises?
Munich - Some of you probably know it: your wardrobe is bursting at the seams and it's difficult to part with things.
To create more space and order, there are some hacks that are circulating on the internet.
One of them is can tabs.

It's easy to use: you remove the tab from an empty can and pull it over a clothes hanger.
Another clothes hanger can then be hung into the opening of the tab to accommodate blouses, sweaters and the like.
If more space is needed, you can repeat the process with the next can tab on the additional bracket.
Remove tab from a can.
Pull tab over clothes hanger.
Take another clothes hanger and hook it into the can tab.
Continue as desired.

The hack was also tested numerous times on Instagram and TikTok Co.
Can tabs achieve good results for many consumers; they seem to be very stable.

“It saved my closet,” one user commented enthusiastically.
Another writes: “Best idea ever.” Many other users have long known about the trick.
“I've been doing this for a long time, nothing new,” replies one user.
However, you should not overload the tab.
Heavy items of clothing such as winter coats are safest stored on a hanger on the clothes rail.
