A Facebook user showed off a special piece and inspired many.
Special plant garners some recognition on Facebook
Houseplants have a home in most homes.
They are intended to improve air quality and thereby prevent headaches, fatigue and other complaints.
In order to present particularly beautiful specimens, there are some groups of plant lovers on social media.
One of these groups is “WE ARE GARDEN – Houseplants” on Facebook, in which a user presented a special plant – an elephant foot.

This owes its name to the trunk base, which looks similar to an elephant's foot, which serves as a valuable water reservoir for the desert plant.
The houseplant is said to be particularly suitable for anyone who often forgets to water, as the elephant's foot does not need a lot of liquid.
Many plant lovers are looking for an elephant foot that not only has a thick trunk base, but also shows the toes of an elephant - like the Facebook user's example.
However, construction work in a Rewe branch in Berlin uncovered a rare supermarket find of a different kind.

The user proudly presented her find from a garden center: “You have my conscience.

I have no idea if the price is right.
75 cm for 25 euros." Many of the other users were particularly impressed by the shape of the elephant's foot: "So it lives up to its name, the foot absolutely looks like that of an adult elephant.
A rarity,” commented one user.
Many also commented that the houseplant is a real snapper.
However, another supermarket “bargain” turned out to be a disappointment.
Elephant feet of this size can cost between 60 and 90 euros in some stores, apart from the special shape.
However, users disagreed about whether the elephant's foot should be placed in a different pot: "I would first repot it in a pot twice as big, it will thank you." Others, however, said that the houseplant "please don't repot it or should not be repotted too big – they like it tight.” (
