If you are close to retirement age, the estimates sent to you by your pension funds since 2019, as well as the simulations you have been able to carry out since that date on M@rel (the simulator set up by the pension plans pension based on your own career data), are no longer up to date.

These included the amount of the penalty and the bonus put in place in 2019 by Agirc-Arrco, the compulsory supplementary pension scheme for employees.

However, this device has been removed.

Taking note of the increase in the legal retirement age to 64 years, the social partners have in fact signed a new agreement which sets the rules for steering the Agirc-Arrco regime until 2026. The flagship measure of this agreement is the removal of the penalty/bonus system, intended at the time to encourage working people to postpone their retirement by at least one year.

This system consisted of reducing the supplementary pension by 10% for 3 years…
