And among them, emblematic paintings like “the Balcony” by Manet, which the Bordelais will discover at the Museum of Fine Arts, “Rouen Cathedral” by Monet which is moving for a time to Le Havre, to the Museum of Modern Art opposite the sea, in the painter's hometown.

Paintings do not arrive everywhere at the same pace.

Since March 16, the Eugène-Leroy museum in Tourcoing has hosted Renoir's “Pont du chemin de fer à Chatou”, the latter's astonishing nude “Garçon au chat” has joined the magnificent Piscine museum in Roubaix since February, and until the end of May.

The famous “Fife”, this little musician in ceremonial costume, one of the treasures of Orsay, took place at the Fabre museum in Montpellier from the end of February until the beginning of June.

Others will leave later, like “l'Estaque” by Paul Cézanne, which comes home a little to the Museum of Fine Arts in Marseille, from the end of May to the beginning of September, or this portrait of a young boy by Renoir which will be installed at the Limoges Museum of Fine Arts from mid-April.

These paintings, so often loaned all over the world, for this anniversary, are taking the rogue paths of France.
