After a week of agony,
Karen Marín
died , one of the 10 people who were hit by an out-of-control car with an intoxicated man while they were walking in the rain outside a bowling alley in Salta.
With the 27-year-old girl,
there are now four fatalities
from the road incident that shocked the province.
"We want
the maximum sentence
for the guilty party," Claudio, the victim's brother, asked in the midst of pain.
In the case of simple homicide and injuries, there are two people detained:
the 21-year-old driver - the main person involved - and a 20-year-old companion
, who is accused of being a secondary participant.
The information published by the newspaper El Tribuno states that the death of the young woman occurred during the early hours of this Sunday after
cardiorespiratory arrest
.
"At 5:30 in the morning, we were outside the hospital, a doctor came and told us that she had gone into cardiac arrest and that they were going to do everything possible to save her. However, 15 minutes later, the doctor informed us that Karen had passed away," Claudio confirmed to the Salta media.
In the midst of pain and helplessness, Karen's brother asked for "Justice" for the culprit of the road accident that claimed the lives of four people and there is a fifth who remains in intensive care.
"We had faith that he could move forward, that he could recover, but now we are left with nothing. I want the person responsible to be given the maximum penalty," he asked.

He also confirmed that a march is being organized towards the headquarters of the courts in the capital of Salta, the time and event of which will be confirmed in the coming hours.
"I don't think tomorrow, because we will have my sister's wake. I estimate it will be for Tuesday," she confided.
Karen Marín, mother of two girls, had been admitted to the intensive care room at the San Bernardo hospital.
Since then, she was fighting for her life, although her condition was very delicate.

The tragedy took place last weekend, around 5:20 on Sunday, when a drunk driver lost control of his Renault Fluence and hit 10 people, who were walking after leaving a dance club in the rain.
From the attack, two of the three victims died instantly.
And the third died that same Sunday in the guard room of the San Bernardo hospital where she had been admitted in very serious condition.
Meanwhile, two had also been hospitalized in a "reserved status": Karen Marín, who died last night, and Ruth Tabarcahe, 26 years old.
Gabriel González, from the Criminal Prosecutor's Office 2 of the Serious Attacks against Persons Unit, ordered the transfer of Marín's body to the Forensic Thanatology Service of the CIF, where the autopsy will be performed.
For now, Luciano L. and his companion are detained and charged.
The driver is blamed as the author of the crime of "simple homicide" to the detriment of four people;
"serious injuries" to the detriment of two other people and "minor injuries" to the detriment of four people in the ideal combination of crimes by way of possible fraud.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old companion was charged as a "secondary participant" in these crimes.
