The extension of the legal retirement age to 64 years initiated by the 2023 pension reform has focused attention.
And the agreement signed immediately by the social partners who manage Agirc-Arrco, the supplementary scheme for employees, went relatively unnoticed.
However, it contains measures which will weigh heavily on the pensions of future retirees.
Like other supplementary pension plans, Agirc-Arrco is a points-based plan, acquired based on contributions deducted from salaries.
The amount of the pension is equal to the number of points accumulated during his career, multiplied by the service value of the point.
