“I was only a victim”: Inès Reg returns to the conflict with Natasha St-Pier in “Dancing with the Stars”

“I’m trembling to tell you,” begins the comedian.

After several days of controversy, Inès Reg spoke on Instagram during the night from Sunday to Monday and delivered her version of the facts concerning the altercation with Natasha St-Pier, as part of the TF 1 program “Dance with the stars ".

She denies making any death threats and says she was insulted as a “little slut” by the Canadian singer.

Facing the camera, the 31-year-old artist returned to the argument between the two women, dating back to January 31.

Natasha St-Pier would have asked him, earlier in the day, “two, three times”, to turn down the music according to her, which the comedian would have done without flinching.

Victim of racism

» To which the Canadian singer would have responded: “Listen to me, little slut”.

The comedian claims to have then been grabbed by the arm: “And she said to me:

”, proclaims Inès Reg.

A scene that she says was captured by the cameras.

“This is what happened, there was no death threat, no insult,” insists the comedian in his story.

A little later, Natasha St-Pier, according to her, apologized, in person, then by message, claiming to have insulted her in a humorous tone: “I thought we were playing a little skit and that I played the role of the villain (…), I say that to my friends,” she reportedly declared.

An excuse that Inès Reg does not accept.

The latter also revealed, on Instagram, the screenshot of the apology message, dated the next day.

In her long video message, the comedian denounces the media treatment of this story and the racist prejudices of which she was the victim: “If I, Inès Reg, who lives in 93, of Algerian origin, I had said to a 43-year-old mother that she was a little slut, I'll let you imagine,” laments the latter, before adding, “yet it's me who is insulted every day like a big scum, a dirty Arab.”

Still according to the latter, the images of the altercation would have been shown to the production, which would have motivated the decision to suspend Natasha St-Pier for three days, which we echoed this Saturday.

The comedian would then have requested the broadcast of these images during a “DALS” bonus, a request refused by the production, according to Inès Reg, who assured him that she wanted to preserve the “Feel Good” side of the show.

Inès Reg also returned to the handrail filed by the singer, who allegedly declared to her, to justify this deposit: “I was afraid that you would break my legs”, “in relation to your team”.

The artist, who denounced the media coverage of this controversy, also denied any refusal to appear alongside Keiona, winning drag queen of the show “Drag Race France”: “We don't have an interview together because our schedules did not match during the week,” says the latter, who explains that she gets along very well with the artist, whom she considers “like a friend.”

“I am not a victim, I am strong, I blame no one”, concludes the artist, recalling that “DALS is a real family, only dance, only laughter”.

“After this 24-hour story, I never want to talk about these stories again,” she warns.
