We were also sorry to hear the news that
Kate Middleton
published last Friday, nevertheless, it is still the favorite of the section for generations.
The Princess of Wales said that she is indeed sick with cancer and is currently undergoing preventive chemotherapy treatments - this after undergoing planned abdominal surgery last January, about which the royal team did not elaborate too much and asked to keep her private during the recovery period.
Which, of course, did not happen, and instead the strange rumors and speculations began to float uncontrollably.
And also a little photoshop trick.
Although the video was not heartbreaking, Kate tried very hard to maintain her composure and the stateliness that characterizes her.
And while many were not happy with the fact that she was photographed alone (without Prince Willy), many fans noticed some other sweet details.

The princess first presented the blue-and-white horizontal striped sweater during her and Prince William's visit to the university in St. Andrew, Scotland in May 2021. It is a piece
from the Scottish brand 'Ardem'
(£650, currently sold out), which is probably why Kate chose to wear it during her visit to the country that year.
This is the simplest knitwear you can imagine - made of one hundred percent cashmere, a silhouette that is reflected through a slim cut, a round neckline and long sleeves with a white finish, without stripes or other frills.

This is definitely not the first time that Kate has chosen to go for striped looks over the years, but this item in particular seems to be something a little more emotional for her beyond the required comfort.
The sweetest moment when Kate decided to go for the basic knit again, was during the iconic photo shoot she did with her son, the playful Prince Louis in portrait photos to mark his fifth birthday - this past April.

In November 2024 just a little before the operation that left us also curious, Kate wore the sweater for the third time in public, joining the community group in London "Dadvengers", which supports fathers and children.
Choosing it, time after time, for very specific events and certainly in the video she shot last weekend is proof that this is a work that probably gives her confidence and comfort, while she gave her short speech to the curious and concerned public.

Stripes that transmit a kind of freedom, optimism and even a pinch of pleasure - something that is probably less beating in the heart of the British kingdom at the moment.
This is after she brought quite a bit of unfortunate news with her in recent months and this is probably what Middleton needed to lift her mood even a little.

In choosing this everyday look, the Princess of Wales reminded (again) the nation that she is not only "ours", the public's - but also "theirs", her family's.
A woman with a private life, a mother above all and a man's wife and so is the order of priorities until her recovery.
On the bench where she sat down with very little make-up and messy hair without any special styling, Kate emphasized the fact that cancer does not choose who it falls on and does not respect her privileged life.
