Spring is the time of new beginnings.

In April, not only can the first vegetable seeds be sown directly into the bed, the lawn will also be prepared for spring.
But what about pruning trees?
Here you can read which three plants you should use secateurs on.
Sub-shrubs benefit from pruning

For most plants, targeted pruning is necessary at some point during the year because it means that the plant is more vital and the flowers are more lush.
While hedges are not allowed to be cut between March and September, the situation is different for sub-shrubs and other woody plants.
The following need pruning in April:
Roses
: When the forsythia blooms, it's time to prune the roses.
Cut away old, brown shoots of the rose down to the young, green wood.
Also remove diseased shoots and always hold the sharp scissors at a slight angle.
Climbing roses are pruned little or not at all.

Lavender
l: Herbs such as lavender, thyme and savory are also cut back in April.
As soon as there is no longer any threat of frost, the lavender is cut back by one to two thirds, as

Then the plant can sprout again.
If you don't do this, the branches will become woody over time.
Raspberries
: For a bountiful harvest, berry bushes should be trimmed regularly.

A second cut can be done after harvest in summer.
Autumn raspberries, on the other hand, are only cut once a year after harvest.
