China represents "the greatest challenge to British national security at state level": this was said today by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, commenting on the accusation made against Beijing of being behind a cyber attack carried out against database of the island's National Electoral Commission and then sealed in a statement to Parliament by Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden.
"China - added Sunak - represents an economic threat to our security and an epochal challenge".
"So we have the right to take measures to protect ourselves," he warned.
