A few more hours of good weather, then a new cyclone will bring rain, strong winds and snow to Italy.
A bad weather situation that will rage at least until Wednesday 27 March.
This is what Antonio Sanò, founder of the website www.iLMeteo.it, announces. Today we will still have a sunny day, with a spring climate in all regions, but from the early hours of tomorrow the weather will be compromised by rainfall, initially of weak intensity , then, from the afternoon onwards, gradually more moderate and widespread, especially in the Centre-North.
"This first worsening - explains Sanò - will be driven by Sirocco winds and fed by colder air at altitude. The latter will cause the snow to return to the Alps on average above 900-1100 metres".
A second perturbed impulse will arrive on Wednesday, more powerful than the first.
Already in the morning, most of the northern and central regions will experience rain, thunderstorms with local hail and more snow in the Alps at around 1200 metres.
In the South, however, the weather will worsen significantly in the afternoon, especially in Campania, Basilicata and Puglia.
The disturbance, driven by strong winds from Scirocco and then Libeccio, will cause storm surges on the exposed coasts.
The disturbed front will abandon Italy by the evening. From Thursday and at least until Holy Saturday the African anticyclone will bring sunshine and a rather mild climate to most of the regions.

In the centre: good weather prevailing, it will worsen in the late evening.
In the south: slightly cloudy.

In the north: overcast skies with rain and snow in the Alps. In the centre: markedly unstable with scattered precipitation.
In the south: scattered rain.
Wednesday 27
.
In the north: bad weather, especially in the morning, improves by evening.
In the center: scattered showers and thunderstorms alternating with sunny spells.
In the south: it gets worse in the afternoon.
