Cafe 51, a coffee roastery in Ramat Gan, and a cafe in Tel Aviv/Cafe 51
In Israel, like almost all over the world, we drink a lot of coffee and drink different types of coffee.
But it turns out that one type is loved more than all.
A new map created by a blog called Coffeeness, dedicated to all things coffee, looked at the Google search volume for 21 types of coffee around the world over the past 12 months, in the English language as well as in the language of the country itself.
So
the Cappuccino
- leading the rankings in 24 countries, including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, India, Saudi Arabia and Kenya.
"People love cappuccino because it offers a balanced amount of each component in each sip," according to Coffeeness.
Espresso
is the second most popular coffee drink on the planet.
The strong and concentrated blend is preferred in 14 countries around the world including Germany, Greece, Iceland, Pakistan, Egypt and the USA.

In third place is
black coffee
, which is the preferred choice in 12 countries including Bulgaria, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Colombia, as well as in Israel.
Cafe
Americano
is ranked fourth on the list and most loved in 10 countries including Italy, South Korea and Argentina.
Rounding out the top five is
the mocha
(milk-based espresso, flavored with chocolate powder or syrup and usually topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips), which is the drink of choice in six countries including Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand.
Other popular coffee drinks are
latte, Irish coffee, flat white
(which contains 1/3 espresso, 2/3 boiling milk and creamy foam), macchiato and iced coffee - all of which were ranked sixth.
Latte
is most popular in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brazil.
Irish coffee
is a favorite in Ireland and perhaps more surprisingly in Finland, Norway and Sweden.
