Absolut Vodka and Sprite in one ready-made drink?
Coca-Cola makes it possible and provides a surprise on the drinks shelf.
Munich – Whether cherry, vanilla or lime: Coca-Cola is always bringing new varieties onto the market.
The new Cola variety “Spiced” was only recently released, but only in the USA and Canada.
Another new product is to follow in April, something that has never existed in this form before.
Consumers can look forward to a new long drink as a ready-to-drink (RTD) product.
The two components: Absolut Vodka and Sprite.

The new mixed drink was created through a collaboration between Coca-Cola and the French spirits group Pernod Ricard.

reports, there was an initial launch in Great Britain in February.
At the beginning of April, the ready-made long drink will also be available in Spain, the Netherlands and Germany.
Coca-Cola wants to specifically expand its product portfolio, according to an official press release.
The main reason for this is the economic success of RTD products.
There is talk of an 11 billion US dollar business, which has increased by 14 percent in the past five years.
Absolute and Sprite
Absolut was founded in Sweden in 1879.
It has since grown into a world-renowned premium vodka brand made from Swedish winter wheat.
Founded in Germany in 1959, Sprite has grown into one of the largest brands in the Coca-Cola Company's global portfolio.

Accordingly, the Vodka Sprite long drink will be available in two versions: a normal version and a sugar-free version.
The drink is only sold in cans.

reports, the alcohol content of each 0.25 liter can will be ten percent due to the current alcopop tax.
The tax applies to RTD drinks that contain more than 1.2 percent but less than ten percent alcohol.

“Vodka is one of the most popular base ingredients for ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages and lemon-lime soft drinks are among the most popular mixed drinks in pre-mixed cocktails,” said Alexandre Ricard, CEO of Pernod Ricard, in a statement back in October.
The typical silhouette of an Absolut bottle paired with the blue, green and yellow tones of Sprite give the can a clear recognition value.
However, it is not yet clear in which supermarkets the mixed drink will be available in the future.
Coca-Cola only made negative headlines in the winter.
The Federal Cartel Office had initiated abuse proceedings against Coca-Cola.
According to the competition authorities, it is about a possible anti-competitive discount structure.
In 2024 there will not only be many new products on the shelves, there will also be some changes in supermarkets.
Among other things, there are now deposits on milk and mixed milk drinks from disposable bottles and cans.
