The photo of Antonio Ruediger, defender of Real Madrid and the German national team, posted at the beginning of Ramadan and accused by a journalist via social media of being a form of support for ISIS.
The former Roma player has in fact denounced, together with the German Football Federation (Dfb), Julian Reichekt - former Bild player at the center of several cases, one of which led to his dismissal from the newspaper - who had exchanged his finger in the sky with " sign of ISIS terrorists wreaking havoc in Europe, including in Berlin."
Ruediger had in fact posted on his Instagram profile a photo of himself kneeling on the prayer carpet, his finger pointing to the sky and the phrase: "Happy Ramadan to all Muslims in the world. May the Almighty welcome our fasting and our prayers".
That finger, according to Reichelt, is the same one adopted by Islamic State terrorists as a sign of power.
At that point Ruediger filed a complaint with the Berlin court, without Reichelt backing down from his position.
