Australian police announced on Tuesday that they were closing the case involving Taylor Swift's father, accused by a photographer of hitting him during a stop by the American singer in Sydney at the end of February.
An
“assault investigation”
was opened and concluded with
“no further police action”
required, police said in a statement.
The complainant, a 71-year-old photographer, claimed to have been
“hit in the ribs”
by Scott Swift near a Sydney pontoon where the star had disembarked from a yacht.
Scott Swift was able to leave Australia.
The alleged incident occurred after the singer had just performed four sold-out concerts in Australia as part of her Eras Tour world tour.
