  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 450 g minced pork or beef

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • Salt, to taste

  • pepper, to taste

  • 2 teaspoons parsley, dried

  • 2 tsp dill, dried

  • 0.5 tsp thyme, dried

  • 100 g cheese, grated

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 packs (270 g each) of puff pastry on the cooling shelf

This is how the minced meat pie with puff pastry works:

  • Preheat the oven to 220 °C top/bottom heat.

  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.

    Add the minced meat to the pan and fry until it begins to brown.

    Add the onion and garlic and fry for three minutes.

    Season with salt and pepper.

  • Add the parsley, dill and thyme, mix everything together, then set aside and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.

    Add the cheese and two eggs to the cooled minced meat mixture and mix everything well.

  • Line the bottom of a floured baking dish with puff pastry, spread the meat on top and cover with the second puff pastry.

    Press the edges of the dough into the mold.

  • Brush the puff pastry with the remaining egg.

    Prick the dough several times all over the surface with a fork.

  • Bake in a hot oven for 45 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove from the oven and allow to cool for ten minutes before cutting the mince pie into squares and serving either warm or cold.
