After 7 years of establishment and an investment of over a billion shekels: Mobileye will inaugurate this morning (Tuesday) the company's new campus in Mount Hotsavim in Jerusalem, in the presence of the President of the State, Yitzhak Herzog, and the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon.

The huge campus covers an area of 128,000 square meters: 50,000 square meters above ground and 78,000 square meters below ground. The new campus will serve as Mobileye's official global headquarters. Currently, Mobileye employs approximately 3,600 men and women worldwide, of which approximately -3,300 employees in Israel at the company's offices in Haifa, Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan and as mentioned and Jerusalem.

The new campus will house approximately 2,700 research and development employees and other units as well as the company's management.

It was built to the Leed Platinum green building standard and includes the most advanced management systems in the world.

Professor Amnon Shashua, president and CEO of Mobileye: "The opening of the company's campus in Jerusalem is a significant milestone in Mobileye's path.

The campus reflects the company's vision and the values on which it is founded - innovation, creativity and excellence.

It provides an optimal response to the company's needs and its opening illustrates Mobileye's great commitment to its employees and to the place where it was built."

An open gym, a basketball court and a cafe with a view of the Jerusalem mountains

The advanced campus brings together elements that provide an ultimate answer to professional and personal needs.

On the entrance floor, there are two floating auditorium rooms surrounded on the outside by a stylish garden with green pools and seating areas.

The campus has 57 meeting rooms, some floating and transparent and some with a spectacular view of the terraces of the Jerusalem mountains, 1,870 square meters of laboratories, a meeting hall and 73 alternative meeting rooms (shared work areas), with all the spaces including some of the best ergonomic office equipment available. One of the strategic floors on the campus is The automotive workshop, where Mobileye's developments are conducted and assembled in vehicles of the global manufacturers the company works with. As part of the hospitality experience, there is an exhibition space for getting to know the technology and the vehicles.

The welfare of the employees has received careful attention - gyms, locker rooms, a hair salon, bicycle parking that includes charging stations for electric bicycles, a convenience store, a service point for operating the leasing cars and nursing rooms. The roof of the campus includes 1,500 square meters including an open gym, a basketball court, a running track and a cafe with a view of the Jerusalem mountains.

The parking lot provides available wifi, multiple parking spaces for charging electric vehicles and marked parking spaces for pregnant women that are accessible to the elevator lobby.

Also, two active dining rooms contain all the company's employees and another dining room with a changing concept.

The construction of the menu is entrusted to Chef Shef Shabtai, who accompanies the restaurants on a regular basis and ensures a rich, healthy and varied menu.

The dining hall caters to vegans, vegetarians, different food sensitivities and strict kosher keepers.

Scattered throughout the campus are artworks curated by Nohar Ben Asher, custom-made by local artists, according to a mindset that corresponds with the building's architectural motifs - movement, dynamism, wind and waves.

This is how the huge campus was designed

The campus was designed from an organizational concept that sees mutual fertilization as a leading value.

The architectural language emphasizes common work areas, gathering areas and making "corridor conversations" an integral part of work processes and routines.

Its design was entrusted to the office of Moshe Tzur Architects, the construction was carried out by the "Afcon" company and the interior design was formulated by Mrs. Vared Gindi.

The campus consists of four towers, four "fingers" connected by a shared and impressive 8-story atrium, which is the heart of the project and a unifying and central place between the company's employees.

The atrium is entirely networked with bridges and passages where many spontaneous encounters are created and from which the entire campus can be seen.

The building is encased in glass and allows the view and the Jerusalem sun to penetrate inside.

The internal spaces, elevators and transparent passages sharpen the connectivity between the different departments.

Some of the construction challenges stemmed from the need to combine Jerusalem construction, which requires the use of Jerusalem stone alongside the desire to erect a building in an innovative language that matches the company's activities.

The solution is found in the combination of external shading panels made of stone that were placed on the southern facade.

These panels create a covering from the sun during the hot hours and produce a building with a transparent appearance that gives a light feeling to those who are inside it.

In addition, the planning of the campus was done in order to stand the test of time and allow the integration of new technologies.

Its operation is carried out through a digital management system that reports, among other things, a lack of equipment, an area that needs cleaning, alerts for problems with air conditioning systems, lighting, electricity, elevators, management of safety incidents and the ability to learn lessons.

The smart system is integrated with an application for the use of the employees and through it you can report and be updated, for example, on the percentage of occupancy in the dining room, the daily menu, the traffic situation on the roads, inviting guests from outside, the availability of meeting rooms or alternative seating areas, navigating the campus and locating vehicles in the parking lot.

Throughout the campus there are many screens that make it easier to find your way around the space.

According to Kobi Ohion, COO at Mobileye, "What we had before our eyes in the construction of our new home was the creation of an optimal work environment with the employee at its center. This is expressed in spacious rooms equipped with the best technology and ergonomics. In addition, we placed an emphasis on maximizing cooperation and cross-fertilization between the employees, which is reflected in the spaces Many common areas, meeting rooms and informal rooms where employees can meet and share ideas."
